So, its been awhile since I’ve heard anything on this subject. Did it run it’s course and go away? Or is it quietly gaining momentum?
Are there any forumites who have firsthand knowledge of this “technology”? Good, bad, or ugly?

I used to have a link that gave step-by-step directions for how to modify/retrofit road shoes to do this. But, I can’t find it now. Anyone still have it?

Sooooooo…can I presume by the lack of responses to this thread that the arch mount cleat concept went kaput? Nobody here tried it and liked/disliked it?
This be what I’m ax’ing 'bout.
My experiments yielded a slight increase in trainer power with the arch mount cleats, but less power on the roads. You gotta be careful extrapolating trainer tests to road performance (rotor crank testing suffered from this phenomenon also). Afaik the testing by one of the big proponents of the arch cleats was on a computrainer. I used a PT and Kurt Kinetic Pro.
It never quite took off, just like ActiveSpokes.
Yet another brilliant idea from Friel or that he signed off on.
