Aqua Jogging.. how I hate you

Not trying to hijack this thread, but your comment about “and you are moving” brings up a question. I’m rehabbing after recent knee surgery, and trying to incorporate water running. When you water run, are you supposed to move forward? I can’t figure out how to stay in the same place, which makes trying to “run” in my small backyard pool next to impossible. Am I doing something wrong, or does one naturally move forward while water running?

Yup - one naturally runs forward some. How fast you move forward has very little to do with effort, and a lot to do with form. The closer you get to doggie paddling, the faster you cover distance.

I find that I tend to get more upright when I’m doing intervals, and so I cover less distance during hard workouts than during easy “runs”.
