Aqauaman Metal Cell: First swim

Do as I say, not as I do: Never race in new equipment.

Since I have that out of the way:

Emmanuel Millet of Aquaman Wetsuits gave me a new Aquaman Metal Cell to use at the American Express Explorer Seahorse Triathlon this morning.

I have used the DeSoto T1 (which I like very much), The QR Superfull and the Orca P-Flex over the last few months.

I have to say, the Metal Cell is perhaps the best of the one piece suits. It is less flexible than a QR Superfull (IMO the most flexible one piece available, probably the best swimming too) but MUCH more flexible than a P-Flex. It is stupid fast too. I haven’t been in the water in 7 weeks and I was cruisin’ (for me, which isn’t very fast)this morning. Actually had a darn nice swim. I really like that suit. I am using it at Ann Arbor next weekend. Super cool.

If you try a Metal Cell I think you will be very pleased. It came off like lightening too.

How does the warmth factor compare to the QR? If I remeber right they both use pretty similar SCS Metal rubber…
