I have a room reserved for IMC, but another option has come up. Has anyone stayed at the Apple Tree Inn, and can tell me if it’s clean/quiet – i.e. “serviceable” for the Ironman stay? It looks pretty basic from the website (http://www.appletreeinn.ca/), which is fine, as long as it’s clean, etc.
We stayed there the last time my wife was there to race(2005) it’s not bad - basic, but nice would best describe it. Functional kitchenettes. Has really good karma - my wife finished second that year!!
Note that you’ll need a car here. It’s a fair way to the race site as well as Skaha Lake. There is a big shopping plaza across the street.
