I’d rather not pay the $160 round trip to take my bike to San Diego for the weekend, but I still have to get in a training ride. Any suggestions for where I can rent a bike?
I rented a decent road bike at Nytro (http://www.nytro.com) Encinitas when I was there a year ago. It was an easy train ride from San Diego, and well worth not bringing my own bike. I don’t see any info about renting on their web site, but I’m pretty sure that’s where I rented from last year.
I rented a Specialized Allez w/105 components from Bike Tours San Diego which is within walking distance from the convention center. The bike was well maintained and adequate for the 30 mile training ride I did at the time.
Javelina’s right. I was down to nytro a few weeks ago and recall seeing a row of Felts with big “Rental” sitckers on them.
