Anyone with a Softride TT7

Question on sizing, Anyone out there riding a S/M (49-52) Softride TT7 that stands around 5’9". Reason I ask is I can get a really good deal on one, but not sure on the sizing. I looked at the geometry chart on the Softride site and it looks like I could ride either a S/M or M/L.

What is your inseam?

Do you have a loooooong torso?

I’m 5’10" w/ a 32" inseam and I ride a medium. For what its worth, I don’t think someone much taller than me could ride the medium. Just a guess, but I’d say you’d be better off on the medium rather than trying to stretch the small.

I’m on a rocket TT, the 650 version, medium frame. So I don’t know if this will help you. I’m about 5’9" and I’m in the middle of the height adjustment on the beam. I’m pretty sure I could ride a small frame also. I absolutely love the bike, rides like a dream and doesn’t bounce like everyone would like you to think.

Inseam is 80.5cm (31.6in), Toros is 68.5cm (27cm)
.

Jason,

One question to ask is what riding position you prefer to ride. If you are riding in an aero or forward position I would go with the medium TT7. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Thanks,

I’m 5’9" with an inseam of somewhere between 29 and 30 inches, maybe shorter. I have short legs and a long Flintstone body (coffee stains too). I just recently took a chance on a Softride size Large. With the seat almost at the bottom, I luckily found a perfect fit that allows my long, tranquil but neanderthal body enough room to finally be comfortable in the aero position. Rides like a level cruising witches broom with no bouncing and an air-like smooth calm ride. Should be called the Harry Potter bike.

(Broom? Would that be wood between your legs?)

I’m 5-11 with a 32 inseam and I had a M/L TT 7 which I sold 7 miles later. Couldn’t get it to fit. The seat was to far back to get the proper height or mylegs looked like I was on a tricycle when I had the seat positioned where I needed it.
It’s a beast to wrench as well. It was softride #2 for me but I went to a custom TT bike.

Well, I’m 5’9" but I’m on a slightly different bike - a medium Classic TT7. I went with medium because I have 33.5" inseam and I would be at the top of the saddle height adjustment on a small. I also usually have trouble hitting my knees on the back of the handlebars while climbing out of the saddle when I try bikes in the 52-53 range.

But with your inseam, a small might work. Do you have the chance to try it out before buying?
