Anyone want to trade "skinny" Stinger 90's for the C2's?

I’ve got the C2 Hed Stinger9’s. They are awesome. My problem is that I am a roadie and in the middle of a race the other day I wondered what would happen if I needed a wheel swap mid race. So after the race I threw my aluminum wheels on my race bike and pretty much had no brakes. This is quite an issue for me personally as I don’t like to think that much during a race.
I’d like to stay with HED wheels, but I would like to see if anyone…long shot, I know…has a set of the older Stinger 90’s in the “skinny” model and would like to do some horse trading? Mine are 2010 model, 2 10 mile TT’s and 2 crits on them. They have Vittoria Corsa’s glued on.

I would consider similar wheels from other manufacturers, Edge, Zipp, but like I said, I’d prefer to stick with the Stingers.

I have a set of stinger 90’s, but I don’t think you’ll get what you are looking for. Mine are about 23mm wide at the brake track.

I’m pretty sure that’s what I’m looking for. The C2’s I have are 27-28mm at the brake track IIRC. When I switch to regular 19mm wheels, the pads won’t even make enough contact to slow me much less finish a crit. I had a set of the 2007’s before which is what I’m looking for.

nearly all brakes have a little cam lever that allows the brakes to go wider- why not set up the C2s with the cams- open just enough to be able to take the wheel out easily- and if you need to go to a different wheel- you can cinch the cam down and have brakes. seems like a 2 second solution in the crit pit. that’s what i do when i swap from my C2s to regular width rims.

I tried that but with my Red brakes, I had to shave my Swiss Stop pads down so they would fit. The calipers are at their widest and still barely clear. With my pit wheels, the braking is still not only sub optimal, but near non existent. I like the wheels so much, but this just bugs me and puts me out of a race if I need a wheel swap.

If you are interested let me know. We can do it through PM.
