Anyone using tire liners in the training tires?

Just curious, since I hate flats on training rides (or any time for that matter.) I’m curious, because I’m considering them. How many of you use ‘Tuffy’s’ or 'Slime tire liners" or puncture preventive liners on your training tires? (for those of you who don’t use tubies for traning.)

Besides, I thought the extra weight in training might be a good thing.

yep. Got them in my training wheels and my wife’s as well. Had like three weeks in a row of blowing at least one or two tubes. Mr. Tuffy’s rock. No flats since. And the extra weight is good training, right.

Yes they are a great training tool. I have not had a flat in about a year (not due to glass or a thorn but, split side wall while cornering), and prior to that was about 2 years. An added benefit is that they make your wheels really heavy and are great for uphill training.

Panaracer flataways for me for the last two saesons 8,000 miles combined and no punctures. Very light too so I have them in my race tyres to save on the fear factor!
