Anyone use the Nike T-Speed Tri Shoe

Anyone have these and using them,

My shoes just died, the carbon sole sepearated from the shoe. They were 3 years old and have taken a beating so they don’t owe me a thing. Just wanted to see if anyone had a review. Thanks

Just got a pair - I think they are GREAT.

I used to use Nike Poggio IIs and they are very similar - but a bit wider. The nice thing about the T-speed is also if you have thin feet you can put the shoe tongue inside and if you have wider feet you can put it outside and the strap still attaches.

if you ride non 3-hole cleats (eggbeaters, etc.) the T-speeds are ready for it.

I used to work at the local “pro” LBS and have worn Sidi, Specialized, Time, Shimano, Northwave, PearlIzumiNike, and DMT. I really like the T-Speeds as they are really light and they are pretty easy to get on (unlike the 1st gen Pearls). As with most shoes, it’s pretty much dependent on how your foot is shaped. DMT made the original Poggio for Nike and I believe they also make the T-Speed for Nike as well. That being said I think the fit is similar to the DMT tri shoe.

One of the best things about Nike/Trek’s OCLV carbon sole is how light it is. Like I said, these shoes are really light.

I just got a pair (about 300 miles ago) and think they’re fantastic. No real basis for comparison, as they’re my first tri shoe, but they’re easy to get on and off and very stiff. I was a little skeptical at first about how well ventilated they were, but they seem to be up to the task of keeping my feet dry.

Stylish too. Looks great wtih all those black bikes that have been popping up lately. Because if there’s anything we’ve learned from this forum it’s that looking good is a key component of going fast…
