Bought the V-Flow Max Saddle and it comes with a DVD and instructions with John’s recommendations for seat height and fore/aft positioning:
Seat height (BB to top-center of seat) = inseam x .885
Fore/aft (front of saddle to handlebar center) = distance from your elbow to fingertip.
Using these recommendations, my position is much slacker than when I had the seat higher and slammed all the way forward.
Anyone else follow these rules?

I haven’t seen the actual DVD, but are you sure it isn’t your stem that should be longer, rather than your saddle being slacker? That is, why did you move your saddle back, rather than cockpit out?
I have about 300 miles on the v-flow max. My longest being a couple of 50 milers. Great saddle. I emailed John because I was putting it on my road bike. He told me to use the same measurements which is: inseam x .889, and front of saddle to bars: middle finger tip to end of elbow, but you could go a inch further if you felt the need.
This really worked for me. I always had trouble finding that sweet spot. I even have jammer gt aero bars which now really feel comfortable.
He was very helpful. Worked for me.

If I did this I think I would need a really short stem and have my seat quite far forward. I’ll be blowing in the wind like a parachute…I look forward to trying this though when my Max arrives. All this being said I followed the directions exactly for the V-Flow Plus on my tri bike and it works awesome.
