Compete virtually – February 19, 2005
My triathlon friends and I are spread out around the world, but we all have the same goals for our training, to stay motivated in the winter and to prepare for the summer triathlon season. In order to do this, we decided to compete with each other virtually and we are inviting you to join us. The first ever Virtual Competition (VICO) will be held on February 19, 2005. It will be an Olympic Distance Triathlon.
Here is the general idea:
- Athletes start and finish an Olympic Distance Triathlon within the 24-hour time period of February 19, 2005.
- Participants can compete anywhere in the world, indoors or out, alone or with friends.
- All racers must register before the event and log their results by midnight 2/19/05 (Pacific Standard Time, USA) on TRIResults.com.
There are no fees and no prizes (except bragging rights), just good training and the fun of competing.
