The only negative reviews suggest that the users received lemons. Is anyone flat out unhappy with this device? I need some cons to go with the pros.

you want to use 1 second recording
and you want to turn on autopause if rolling less than 3.5 mph.
other than that its sweet. I have used it for 4 rides. After setting those settings it was really close to my PCVI, close enough to make it good enough for me.
I’m putting off getting a powermeter for like 1 or 2 years from now. I don’t even have race wheels yet. But I’m moving around quite a lot and I don’t know many areas so I think the maps function will be helpful on the garmin. It has all the other options I could use. And I enjoy keeping track of my workout data.

Next question: what is the best store to purchase this from based on return policy? Normally I like to get things like this from Costco but they are not selling it.

I originally thought it was a pretty good joke, particularly after I found the ninjashipper on Ebay, but now I’m wondering if i should purchase from him? His 3 day guarantee is as good as most!

I’ve had mine for a year and it’s the best bike computer I’ve ever owned. The mapping is less great, well terrible actually, unless you program in a route before going riding on a PC. Having said that, I’ve just returned from 3 months in France and it got me around the roads out there without too many problems.
If you ignore the ability of the unit to generate routes during your ride, it’s perfect*.
*Minor niggle - you can’t have silent alarms which is very frustrating.
