Anyone try the FSA or IRO compact derauiller?

just curious if anyone has tried one of these front derauillers specifically made for compact cranks, and if so, how does the shifting feels compared to say how an ultergra one shifts under a normal setup? i’m thinking of getting the FSA for my p2k, which i already have setup w/compacts from last year.

while on the compact FD topic, anyone also have experiences to share with the campy compact FDs?

Don’t know about the FSA front derr, but I can tell you that the standard Ultegra derr on both my tri bike and road bike work perfectly with the FSA compact cranks. I cannot tell the slightest bit of difference from how they worked with standard Ultegra cranks. I hit the lever (bar ends on one bike; STI on the other), it changes gears and that’s that. Not a whole lot to think about.

I agree with Ash. I have FSA compacts on both my road and tri bikes with Ultegra and have never had a problem. Works great and never drop a chain. Just make sure that you get it set-up correctly and you will not have to worry about it.
