Some hot looking bikes! It’ll be interesting to see what the other manufacturers come out with.
That new version of Kilo is really very, very nice looking. The paint scheme is beautiful but more importantly the seatpost assemply and binder clamp appear to be the proven design used on the Litespeed Blade. That is a good move.
I wonder if the Litespeed Saber will get an aero seat tube for '06?
Very, very nice looking bikes. I do expect them to do very well with these in '06.
The new Seduza looks like a carbonized version of the Caliente. Wonder how it will differ from the Lucero and what its price point will be.
those look pretty cool… I’ve been seriously looking at the 2005 Tequilo, but I might hold off on that for a bit…
so, the top of the page says coming September 1st, but the countdown at the bottom says “more details in 118 days, 11h, 29 min…”
What’s the deal with that? The source code for the page says “Thur, August 31 2005 11:59:59 PM” so hopefully its just some bug with the countdown timer
That Kilo is a lot of bike for an entry level. Maybe spec’d with 105 10sp? If so, not a lot of excuses left riding that rig. It even looks pretty sexy.
The counter works fine here. It may have to do with some local settings of your computer.
My thoughts exactly. I wonder what will be the difference between the Seduza and the Lucero.
yes, check my computer’s clock… I guess it isn’t actually May 6th. Thanks.
ummm have u seen litespeed? http://www.litespeed.com/bikes/2005/vortexcom.aspx
The new Seduza is based on the Lucero and features a 12K weave (on frame, fork and seatpost) versus the Lucero’s narrower 3K carbon weave. The Lucero is available as a frame with various part option and choices, the Seduza only as a complete bike. As for the Seduza price point, it’ll be between the 2006 Caliente price point and the 2006 Tequilo price point.

WOW, now that new vortex is fine ride.
If you look at the photo of the Kilo, the most exciting bike to me since it holds the most sales potential at the lower price points, the internal cable routing looks like it may be very, very good. The cable stop appears, from the photo, to be integrated into the frame. That is nice.

Tom,
Yes, both the 2006 Kilo and Tequilo feature internal cable routing (and an aero carbon seatpost/seatube, and I would say that it is done pretty much the way you like it.

rooster,
i admire how much you know about multi-sport products. not only bikes but also gear. constantly researching, constantly testing… i swear, if i ever decide to open up a multi-sport retail store, you would be my main man in all product ordering and testing. if i didn’t have the my KHS flight 2000 right now i’d strongly consider jumping on QR bike. so, just to refresh your soul a lil, the titanium typhoon you currently ride is one hell of a bike! KEEP IT…
Hey Herbert…LBS guy says that all Litespeeds except the Blade, Saber and Tachyon are going back to external headsets…is this true?

I think the paint jobs are average if not ugly. Check out what some of the Project One treks paint schemes. Now thats sharp
Ask Slowman about the big aero-tubed myth.
LBS guy is right except, Tachyon never had it and won’t get it.

The Seduza sure looks like the Lucero with a new paint scheme to me. Wonder what they have in store for the 06 Lucero?
Notice no sonic wheels and the FSA crankset. Maybe they are trying to lower the price.

Herbert,
As an owner of an older Blade (external headset) would you mind telling us why the return to this style?
Aloha,
Larry
Sweeet! Please tell me you did something different with the Caliente paint job? '05 version is a cool bike with a horrible paint scheme, IMO. I really like the '06 Kilo, especially for the lower price point.
