Anyone riding the 2007 Kilo or Tequilo?

I was fascinated with Dan’s “Experiment in Geometry” article; lo and behold, Quintana Roo comes out with duplicates of this design in their “low-end” bikes. How has this bike worked out for you? Pleased? Any regrets?

I ride the 2006.5 Tequilo, which is a 2007 with a different paint scheme. My first Tri bike. I love it and have no regrets. As a MOP rider, I see no reason to go with anything more expensive. As a matter of fact my speeds would most likely be the same on a Kilo. I thought it would be hard adjusting to a Tri bike as I am well fit to my road bike, but man that Tequilo fits me even better and rides much faster.
Did that answer your question?

I just got a 2007 Tequilo. It is my first Tri bike and first bike bought fit to me. I have only had it 2 weeks and do not really have anything bad to say about it other than descending is way more scary than on a road bike. I have about 120 miles on it and love it, it is fast for sure. Not so sure about the stock saddle but I am going to give it a few more months to see how it goes. Good luck, hope this helps.

This is my 2006 Tequilo. I believe the differences are that the '07 has a steeper STA (78.5 vs 76.5), a carbon seatpost in lieu of the carbon seatstays and different graphics of course.

For me, this bike is working out great…I’ve swapped out the brakes (Ultegras), brake levers (Profile QS2’s) and the saddle (Selle San Marco Azoto). Otherwise, its stock…expect for the wheels, of course.

Love my Tequilo too!

Just my opinion - I think the kilo is one of the best buys on the market - add some nice wheels like everyone else seems to be doing - cant be too much slower than a P3.

No one else seems to really cover tri geometry quite like QR
