Anyone make a 10 spd 11-21 cassette?

…well, besides Shimano for DA?

New P2 has compact cranks and in dead flat Chicago, I don’t need gears that low. I have an older Ultegra 11-21 cassette, but it doesn’t look like Shimano makes that one anymore and would like another cassette for my race wheels.

SRAM doesn’t seem to make an 11-21 at all.

Thanks in advance.

Might have to get the 11-23 and swap the 23 out for an 18t? Not sure if that can be done or not…

Hmmmm…don’t think so 'cuz of the carriers. Been awhile since I have looked into the details, but wouldn’t the 18 & 23 come on different carriers?

Since you will most likely be near the middle to the small end of the cassette does it really matter what the bigger cogs are?

Ultegra 11-23 goes 11-12-13-14-15-16-17-19-21-23 so you have 1 step up to the 17.

Another though can you fine something bigger than a 50 for your compact?

Not if I wanna ride a 7 speed cassette, I guess!!

The reality is that a Compact crank makes zero sense for me, and I realize that…even on my old bike (standard crank 53/39), an 11-21 was sufficient for most of my rides / races. But a cassette is cheaper than a crank, so i’m trying to exhaust those options first. Can’t use the crank form my old bike 'cuz it was a 175 and I want to use 170’s now.

Bigger Chainring?

You can find bigger chainrings that use the compact 110 BCD, such as:

I’m pretty sure you can get a 53 tooth chainring for a 110 bcd crank.

Ah…that may be an option. Thanks to both of you for the tip.

But if anyone knows of an 11-21, lemme know!!

Here are a bunch of 52 tooth chainrings
