Yah, I know we don’t really talk about them in public, but with a carbon frame one missed shift can do enought damage to trash it (and I worry about that more than falling off my bike). Problem is it’s hard to find one for anything other than a regular round seat tube.
There was an article in last week’s Roadbikerider.com about them and how to make one similiar to what the pros use,(no I don’t work for them), that will work on most bikes by attaching to the front derailler bolt.
