Anyone live in Atlanta?

I went to school in Atlanta and I may go back there for a week in August to hang out with some of my friends. While I’m there, I’ll be in full swing for 70.3IM training. I was wondering if anyone wants to go on any rides, runs, or swims while I’m in town.

So, if you live in Atlanta and would like to go on a ride or two with me, let me know.

Thanks.

I bike every Tues/Thurs/Sun and run every Mon/Wed/Sat. My swims a few and far between right now, but I could get you in my Y if you don’t have a place.

I live in the the buckhead area, and I run at the Chatthoochee trail or kennesaw Mtn.

Eric…as you get closer let me know. I am slow but am doing long stuff. I am probably available during the week more than on the weekends (except early Sunday). If you need speed—Damn will do the speed stuff for you. Me, just slogging along slowly, although by the time you get here, I think my hill work will be significantly stronger.

Eric, you may want to inquire about her hottie sister:)))))
.

Heavy D…she has a good boyfriend–and if she doesn’t start to get serious about training it could get WAY scary out there in Nov.(you’ll get to meet her at IMF if I can just get her running soon–I think I am responsible for her PF) Highly doubt she would call herself a hottie–my Dad always kept us in check. I just have no clue how she runs with that chest of hers.

I just traded up myself recently too  but he doesn’t ride…not yet. Now I have to ask myself WHY did I stay with a guy that had no clue how to do a n y t h i n g?

Hi Eileen,

good one, Ive got to chat with you someday on how you guys view and do nutrition on race day, im very curious becasue it has to be very different from what is mainstream:))))))))
.

Heavy D…have to get to work. Feel free to drop me a line. I have no clue what nutrition is anymore. Big race next year will be broken up into individual irons, so thinking of doing one this year (or early next year) to remind myself HOW to handle nutrition. No clue what Kathleen does, she just wanted to finish last year, and this year her training is WAY off.

In all honesty, getting so back to basics it isn’t even funny. Pedialyte and Ensure, and Coke are my staples…and I get a really whacked craving for hotdogs  I know what causes it. I am thinking of trying out booze during my racing this year in Mexico. Apparently I am one of the few that doesn’t.

i live in ATL. it’s hot here. try googling southern bike league for ride calendars. also there is the silver comet trail which is good for biking.

Do you have a place to stay yet in PCB? I’m still up in the air about lodging for IMFL. My wife and I are probably going to take our two daughters (4 and 2).

I’m down in Macon btw. The local bike scene here isn’t into long rides over 40miles or so it seems, and The local IM tri-peeps here(about 6 or 7 people) aren’t doing IMFL this year.

I’m going to have a lonely 19 weeks left of training doing super long rides and runs by myself.

I can do it… I can do it… I can.
Trae

hey dude

I’m a grad student at Tech and training for IM Wisconsin. I’m from California and might actually be going home for the first couple of weeks in August…but give me a shout if you’re in town. If I’m not here I know a few tri groups in the area.
