7.6 oz of unashamed bling…starting to think about next season’s wardrobe and these look shhwweeeet! If anyone owns these bad boys I’d really appreciate a quick review. Can’t get my hands on 'em here so unable to check out the inner lining for creases, edges etc (for sockless running), let alone try 'em on. Also interested in how well they drain water.
Why the need to drain water? And I’ve never had issues with seams either. I run in flats all the time sockless, triathlons and running races (most runners do).
And to answer your question, my friend LOVES puma racing skipes and flats. I’ve never cared for them.
EDIT: I just im’ed him and asked if he has these and he doesn’t, although he’s been eyeing them as well.
Mate, have you never raced in the rain? After doing my first tri in a pair of water-logged Mizuno Creations I’ve sworn never to race in anything but well draining flats…also, when you dump several litres of water on yourself during a long-course race it tends to soak your shoes…my Adistar Comps are a perfect solution for this, but they’re getting a bit old… As for the seams, well, its obviously a personal thing…you’re fortunate that you don’t have problems with 'em, some of us do…
I guess that makes sense. Mostly all of the flats I’ve had have been very light (streak xc, mayfly) and didn’t have much cushion to soak up any water. I guess the more cushion the flat has the more this becomes an issue.
