I was wondering how long you studied for the exam and what books/study materials you used. I bought the ACSM Resources for the PT book … kind of shocked by the amount of information for this test.
no- but another equally or harder one. Study- and study some more. Make study cards, and quiz yourself often. Good luck- you can do it, maybe! DOn’t forget, many of these test are as much about test taking skills than regurgitation- they make you work for it.
Not CPT, but got HFI years ago and helped administer the practical exam for years. ACSM is very predictable. Read the recommended materials, and specifically work on the skills outlined in the latest edition of the Guidelines book. They don’t throw many curves at you. If you can attend the workshop that precedes the exam, by all means do so. It’s invaluable in helping you prepare for the exam, plus you’ll learn lots of important and practical material.
