Anyone have any tricks for keeping bottles from flying out of profile bottle cages?

I thought I’d check the collective ST wisdom before I jerry rig my bottle cages. I’m using the behind the saddle bottle mount and the bottle cages are Profile. They only pop out if they are empty–pain in the ass.

A small tab of duct tape usually does the trick for me…

I used black athletic tape. Resist moisture, and flexes with the cage as it retracts and expands. Haven’t lost one since!

Spinn,
I have used profile behind the seat cages for years and have never really had that problem. Several things: 1) run your bottles more straight up and down as opposed to pointed backward. 2) make sure you have the little rubber band things on there - profile will send you new ones if you don’t. You can also use those plasticish pony very small pony tail holders…they actually work very well. 3) slpit duct tape length wise and just put one wrap arounf the bottle just below where the top of the cage hits.

Good luck,
