Anyone have a Jet C2 6/9 and/or Jet C2 Disc

Thinking about picking up a Jet C2 6 and the Disc. Any customer reviews on this? Anyone prefer the 9 over the 6 or the 6 over the 9?

I have a 6/9 on order that should be here this week, I’ll let you know!

I’ve been very happy with my 9/9 combo on both hilly and flat courses.

I ran a 9/9 and a 9/disc combo. With the 9 up front you do get more front end push in crosswinds, I especially noticed it on fast twisting descents as the front would have a tendency to weather vane. I was test riding a stinger disc/stinger 9 combo yesterday in some strong crosswinds and having the disc on the back does help to stabilize the bike.
The question you would have to ask yourself is what yaw angles you are likely to see. Past 12.5 degrees of yaw angle the Jet 6 is slightly faster than the 9 according to HED’s data, so if you race when its windy, or race at say 19-20mph then the shallower wheel up front would be the better bet. I would still go with a disc in the back, or at least get a wheelcover for the 9 so you have both options.

I’ve got the Jet 6 and Jet Disc (both C2 rims) and like the combo a lot. Did one tri with 20-30mph crosswinds and handling was fine - I’m 165lbs. This setup has felt reasonably light going up hills, and cornering and ride comfort are excellent. No experience with the Jet 9 so I can’t help with a comparison.

For strictly TT, I’d go with the 9/9. If you also ride a road bike then 6/9 purely for aesthetics. I have the 6/9(skinny) option for my SLC and am really happy - E

I have Jet 60 C2s front and back, but picked up a wheel cover for the rear. I went with that combo thinking they’d be the most versatile of the options I was looking at.

I haven’t ridden many wheel combos, but I have to say that I love them so far. They feel great under me and they helped me drop some significant time off of a recent time trial.

My only bad experience was when descending at about 70km/hr during a race for the first time with the Jets (not disk cover on at the time). I rounded a corner and it was rather windy, which combined with my speed put me into a speed wobble. I got it under control and was fine, but still a little scary. I’m very conscious of keeping control when descending now and haven’t had any problems since while descending the same hill with the same conditions.

If you’re considering a Jet 90 with a cover you may want to make sure they can do it. I seem to recall when I was shopping around that Wheelbuilder couldn’t do a cover for the 90, but I could be totally mistaken. Just check to be sure.

Have the C2 9 and the Disc. Very, very happy with the combination. As other posters have commented, look at the Hed calculator to see if 6 or 9 makes more sense. I think you’ll be very satisfied with the wheels either way.
