Anyone ever have back pain from q-rings?

Does anyone else ever get lower back pain from q-rings?
I feel like I get some extra power out of the rings, but my lower back and hip flexors seem to flare up more than with round rings?

No back pain per se, but both times of put Q-rings on my bike, I’ve had upper hamstring/glute tightness and soreness within a week that have messed up my running. Gonna wait until the off-season before giving them another try, but if the results are the same they’ll be on E-bay!
