Anyone ever experience this?

Did Eagleman yesterday (great race = well run + lotsa fun) and about 2:00 into the ride the muscle about an inch above my inner right knee started to hurt pretty badly, especially when I tried to stand up in the saddle coming out of a corner. I’ve never experienced anything like this riding a bike. It felt like a really, really, really bad charleyhorse. When I finished the ride I was unsure if I’d be able to run. It was very painful to run on to start but loosen up somewhat as I went. I finished the run quite a bit slower than I’d planned and iced it down for quite awhile afterward. Today its sore, but not as bad as I thought it would be. Anyone ever experience anything similar? Any advice/home remedies/similar tales out there?
