the house i’m in i bought for a fiance yrs ago. we never got married, she left on good terms, she’s happy i hope, life goes on…do-da-do-da. and i say bought for her because it’s in a planned community which is not my type at all, but i travel and was trying to do what would keep her happy while i’m on the road. so, i’ll be on the road, feel good, get excited about new projects and future plans, get back from a trip, wake up my first morning home and feel like sh!t. just have no motivation to do anything, feel physically drained, just mentally dead. i’ll get out and ride and swim and feel much better but sometimes it’s like it’s a chore. dated a gal for a little over 4 months recently, was having fun but knew she wasn’t the one for long term. she liked to bike and work out, i was teaching her to fly but with my life on the road she didn’t like the being away time. also she was in austin, i’m in dallas, i spent more time down there than she did up here, i love the austin area so i didn’t care about that. it didn’t work out so we parted ways. afterwards i was down, and i mean way down, for way to long afterwards.
so this week, i’m on the road, spend the nite in san diego, the weather is just perfect, as usu, get up and have a good breakfast the morning i leave, have all these great plans on what i want to do when i get home. wake up this morn, feel like hammered shi!t. my head is stopped up so i’ll lay the blame on allergies a little, but this is just ridiculous. i really do hate where i live and am actively working on getting out of here, but damn, i’m gonna put on 20lbs before i can get out of this evil place.
so…has anyone ever been in a place, home, apt, city, that seemed to bring you down? or bring bad things your way? did leaving or moving turn your world around? i’m really sick of feeling sick whenever i’m at home. thanks for your time and hopefully stories of what happened to you.
Its possible there is a chemical in your house that is affecting you, especially if you come home to a sealed up house. Is it relatively new? Are the windows and doors sealed tight to keep it energy efficient? That can cause problems. I’d try airing it out whenever you are home. Open the windows all day, keep one open at night and see if that helps.
“Uninterruptable Power Supply”. I read the title and my house and office have very bad “Fluctuating” power levels. It plays hell on all electronics devices. You get a UPS, which is basically a power regulator with a battery in it and it “Cleans up” the power.
Shamanic House Cleansing
As a shaman I work with my spirit guides of love and light to rid peoples’ homes of unwanted spirits or energies that are not serving their highest good. Sometimes a spirit isn’t able to successfully cross over after death for various reasons or there are unwanted energies that are trapped in a house that need to be cleared. I use a drum and rattle to shift and change the energies of the home. I like to have the occupants of the house participate in the cleansing ritual as well, if they are interested. The process usually takes about 2 1/2 hours.

That was my first thought too. There is something in the air in the home that is not getting filtered out and causing you an actual physical reaction. See what happens if you keep the windows open for a while and get fresh air in. You may have mold somewhere that you can’t see. Or off-gassing of something. At worst, you may have a CO problem. Do you have a CO monitor.
Places that brought me down include Seattle, Newark and India.
I can tell you that moving from Michigan to California was a great move. Not that Michigan was so awful (except for its winters) it’s just CA offers so much more when it comes to recreation and travel.
If I was you I’d move before your house becomes Amnityville.
thx matt, the electrons are flowing fine. it’s how the synapse’s are firing that i’m concerned about.
i thought about the chemical thing especially after seeing this story. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123171862994672097.html i haven’t heard anyone else having prob’s in the neighborhood and in this cookie cutter house community they are all built with the same materials. i do open the windows as much as i can when i’m home, i love the outside air, even though i know it’s not the best thing for me due to the proximity of the highway. but i haven’t ruled that out, thx jen.
i knew things were going to need to change over a yr ago, i woke one morning and my heart rate took off while i was laying in bed. the road noise on the nearby highway has gotten worse since i moved here, i woke up because of the noise, and i can sleep pretty much any where at any time. i can’t even sleep in my bed without one of those nature sound clocks, the noise really annoys me.
i’m hoping that buying a new house and moving to a new city will help. i hope i’m not grasping at straws i guess. a bud at work described a few symptoms similar to mine as far as the fatigue, he went to a doc who took a load of blood test and saliva samples and found he had very low testosterone for his age and issues with his thyroid. (i’m watching the thyroid thread closely in the tri room) she treats holistically, i don’t remember what he’s taking but said he feels sooo much better. his workouts are much more productive and he energy level is back to how he felt in his 20’s he says. just another avenue i’m exploring as well.
i do like my coffee, but only 1 cup, maybe 2 at the most a day. and i don’t drink soda. i generally feel worse in the morning so i don’t think it’s a caffeine thing.
i think there is a bio thing going on here but also some mojo (couldn’t think of the right word, thx last tri). i guess i’m trying to figure out how much is bio v. how much is mojo. when the doc gets the lab results back i’ll obviously know more, but until then i think i’ll follow mark’s idea. thx mark! i mean he’s pre-med so he outta know. right? right!
My wife is a massage therapist, and talks about ‘energy’ good and bad often with her clients. Usually she says that clients with ‘bad energy’ give her headaches, stomach aches, just a general crappy feeling. While folks with the good energy make her happy as well.
Now I generally believe that people can radiate this, i don’t think a house can. But 1/2 of this may be in your head, you get home and now expect to feel like ass when you wake up. It’s the same as waking up to go to a job you hate, the bad day starts right away.
If you’re stuck in the house like lots of folks are right now, make sure it has enough ventilation. Run the fan on your furnace/AC (not the AC just the fan) and keep the air circulating in your house. If you don’t have a fresh air duct hitting the return side of your system, have one put in. At a minimum this will help keep the air moving and what ever allergens that may there circulated through the filter.
Get a TVSS, mount as close the main breaker as you can at the house.
At your office, is that attached to the shop you run? Put a TVSS on the main, and on all the heavy equipment you run to stop transients from coming off the equipment into your system.
perhaps you cannot move on, until you physically move away from the “life” (manifested in the house) that never materialized with your ex-fiance.
ceertainly you could be tired, have an allergy, have a hangover, just out of whack from all of the travel,or any other thing. so figure it out. but i do believe that many times people cannot repair from a failed relationship until they “move away”.
if my husband ever ditched me, i would have to leave this house. everywhere i turn, there he is. it would be far too much…no amount of new furniture and paint could ever change it.
