Man! Worst snow storm in history in cincy and I am at the airport, watching every flight get cancelled, hoping to get to Montreal… Anyone else out there, waiting, bored? 
All that after getting up early to do a 3 hours spin on the spin bike… Man that was boring!!! And I am bored…
That was true for this morning… Nobody was aloud out… I drove to the airport, took me an hour… we got like 15 inches of snow, it’s insane. i am canadian, I can handle snow but not this… They haven’t even plaud (spell?) the highway… that was a nightmare and very dangerous. Nobody is either cleaning or salting roads… I can’t even believe I made it… Gosh do I miss my condo in Phoenix!!!
I hope you manage to get out ok, what delay are they quoting now? I am due to fly from London to Vancouver on the 25th with a stop over. Any idea if flights are usually packed or empty on Christmas Day? I am hoping for the latter.

Safe travels Marisol. An airport can be a pretty nasty place to spend a prolonged period of time (especially when it is unexpected). Some airports have massage or spa facilities so check it out - maybe you can get yourself a well-deserved Christmas present. If you brought your shoes go for a run in the terminal. Your fellow travellers might think you’re crazy but so what (check for a shower first).

Stop over in cincy? Man! they have cancelled flights all day today and yesterday, it’s chaos here, people sleeping on the floor everywhere… there are NO delays, they just cancel everything… I am hoping things will improve, i will stay here for the next 2 flights… the problem is that they ran out of de-icer… Way to go!!!
I was scheduled to fly from Madison to Philadelphia this morning, with a layover in Cincinnati. The Cincy to Philly flight was canceled last night. I found out around 9 o’clock and spent the next 3 1/2 hours battling busy signals and being put on hold before I re-booked my flight for tomorrow morning. While definitely annoying, at least I didn’t get stuck at the airport. Good luck to you, you’ll reach your destination eventually.
Just don’t suggest they boil a few jugs of water to melt the snow it will be an ice rink out there! Still you could get a hockey game going to pass the time!
I am in the delta crown room right now which is really nice… I should start drinking!!! free drinks here… good luck coming in tomorrow, it will be a zoo here as well… they don’t have all the planes and everybody is rescheduling… ahhhhh… and I am worried about the run/swim i need to do tomorrow… isn’t that bad???
I’ve got my fingers crossed. Although now I’m worried that they won’t have enough de-icer!

I feel your pain, I was stuck in traffic today after leaving the beach, apparently I thought everyone was christmas shopping and figured the beaches were empty, but noooooooooooooo, every one was there, but I did manage to get in a mile swim and evade the sharks, hehehehehehhehheehheehhe.
This is why all you plebians should be flying Northwest (shameless plug). We’re doing fine and on time, bay-beee!
Seriously, I’m flying out tonight on our Honolulu-Detroit flight to spend a week back at home. I used to be a manager out our Detroit hub. NO airline handles irregular operations due to snow very well, btw.

Hey Kahuna, apparently you forgot a little snowstorm back in 1999 that Northwest airlines couldnt cope with and stranded passengers for hours on the ground, hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I was gainfully employed by the military at that time, out chasing bad guys. Once I retired, I went to work for NWA. So I count time as BNWA (before I went to work for NWA) and ANWA (after I went to work for NWA
But, I heard every horror story about that time from all of my guys while I was working there. It was UGLY!!

Oh my… I am back home, in cincy with a confirmed flight for TOMORROW evening… what a nightmare… who ever is going thru cincy tomorrow, I am warning you, it is a DISASTER!!!
your not missing much in phx. a bit chilly, say about 60F for the high and now the wind is blowing about 25mph in my neck of the woods. We didn’t even ride today due to the not so great weather.
Ok trust me… I would be outside riding in those conditions… this is 15 inches of ice/snow mix… can’t drive anywhere… I am missing a ton in Phoenix, can’t wait to get back there!!!
I am in the Crown Room in Cinci also … stuck here until Friday morning when I hopefully will fly to LGA and then on to ALB (with a little luck). I have secured one of the larger couches and am hoping they will leave me alone and let me sleep until tomorrow morning (it is either that or try the airport Radisson).

Ive been in your shoes many times and it sucks especially in cincinasty, I even turned down a DHL flying job because I didnt want to be based there, so your compaining about being in the crown room, HMMMMMMMMMMMM, let your hair down and as the black eyed peas say, LETS GET IT STARTED IN HERE,
And yet another canceled flight. Flight from Cincy to Philly scheduled for 9 am was canceled. I’m now scheduled for the 3 pm Cincy to Philly flight. I fly out of Madison at 530 am and then get to hang around with all the other poor souls for 7 hours. I have the worst luck with flights getting canceled. Oh well. It could be worse.
