Just curious as there are so many types on this board and I figured I might find someone else putting a magazine out as well.
Started our magazine three issues ago now (bi-monthly) and man it’s pretty cool putting something like this together but it’s SO MUCH WORK!! We went from 48 pages on B&W newsprint the first issue, than 48 pages on gloss full color, and now we’re at 64 pages plus two fold out pages… oh man just uploading to the printer as I type this after figuring out how to lay out those gatefold pages which took forever.
Anyways if anyone has ever thought about doing this (anyone NOT in Hawaii of course) it’s a blast and you sure do feel involved in everything going on in your local sports community. I’d say check out our website but our website sucks (magazine is cool but website sucks) but if you’re in Hawaii pick up a copy of Hawaii Sport magazine and let me know what you think. Plus our launch party is in a couple of weeks which will be super cool! It’ll be at the Jamba Juice down by Ward on the afternoon of the 16th and there’ll be great food and lots of Jamba samples if anyone on Oahu is interested. PM me for exact time.
