Anyone doing Pigman? A request for those not

Just curious if anyone is headed out to the big Pigman HalfIM this weekend? Any vets have any last minute tips?
I’m fairly excited as its my first HIM and using this as a gauge to help with planning my next year of tris(maybe an IM if I think I’m coming along enough). For those who have a heart for us runners/sinkers please pray for freezing rain in Iowa on Friday night with a return to normal afterwards.

Good luck to anyone else competing and thanks for those who will pray to the gods/make any animal sacrifices

I’ll be down there watching/running/swimming. Too cheap to enter at the last minute.

Good luck. Great race. Course is challenging. Nice place for a 1/2.

I’ll be there!! The only advice I have is to please dump some ice into the lake so it will lower the water temp. Have fun. It is a pretty well run event. The run offers no shade, but the temps should be pretty low on Sunday.

the last 1/4 of the bike has some hills - so be careful with pacing. No shade on the run and a big hill in the last 1.5-2 miles as you come back into the park
