Anyone coached by Steve Pyle (Tri-Ecoach.com)?

I’m thinking about getting a tri coach next season. Been doing my homework and for a number of reasons including my background and goals I am considering Steve Pyle: http://www.tri-ecoach.com

Anyone coached by him or know of anyone coached by him that I could get in contact with?

Thanks!

I raced with him as a junior/1st year senior cyclist (he was older by 10-12 years) in the Northeast. He was a very strong cyclist and from what I understand a good triathlete. I think he was one of the early multi-sport coaches. If he coaches as well as he raced, then he’s good. That’s all I got.

Check out Craig Upton if you’re looking for an online coach or live in the NY-NE area (gotta get the plug in for a friend). http://www.performancelabshc.com/

Funny, I knew that dude like 15 years ago when I lived in CT. He is a former professional cyclist, and top duathlete. Don’t know much about his coaching, other than that he has been doing it for at least 7 or 8 years now.

Member of the 1980 Olympic cycling team (that didn’t go to Moscow). Tell him to stop coming to New Jersey to race, please. It’s always a question of “when will he pass me on the bike”? Usually around 3 miles.

I know Steve as a fellow coach and triathlete - I have met his clients and they are extremely happy with Steve and his approach -in fact due to my travel schedule he is swim coaching one of my triatletes for me in Denver area. Nice guy and very dedicated.

He and Andrea and I attended Level II this year in California.

I have used Steve for about a year and am extremely satisfied. I have been an endurance athlete for about 6 years–marathons and short course tri’s. Starting using him last year for my first Ironman and kept with him after the event. PR’d is about 80% of the races I did last year. His schedules are prompt and well done.

Nothing but good from me.

He coached me for my first IM. I thought the program was great. I would definitely use him again.
