Anyone buying chia, quinoa, cous cous, cereals, dried beans or anything else in bulk from an online vendor. Who do you use? Good experiences?
Not sure they have all. Very good place to purchase. Steve
Maybe because of what I do for a living, but this is my first thought when you say grain in bulk…because this is what it actually means to have grain in bulk
.
So not paleo…
.
How much ya buyin at a time? If it is just a couple kilos at a time I would guess the local health food store (not Whole Paycheck) would be as cheap if you are buy ing 20 kg bags, I would guess the mail order bulk merchants would be better. I know the whole grain brewers source from out of town usually. Or if you can get into the wholesale market locally it would be hard to beat.
I used to work in an animal feed plant. We’d take 25 tonne loads at a time. That should keep you going for a while ?
Perhaps I should have defined BULK!! LOL
I am thinking 25-50 lb bags.
I used to brew beer, and found some good sources of 50lb bags of barley.
Farmers buy grain in bulk all the time. Try your local co-op.
On another note, we get a lot of our grains via Amazon Plus. They have a subscription-type plan that you can set to regular intervals (monthly, bi-, tri-monthly) and will have it delivered right to your front door. After price checking, their grain prices were better than my local grocer (haven’t compared vs the co-op though)

I was wondering about amazon. Glad to hear positive marks for it.
I am in the Orlando area, I don’t know if we have co-ops here. Seems to be that most of the healthy eaters go and drop hundreds every week at Whole Foods or the Fresh Market and pay about 3X what I am comfortable with!
