Anybody work for Apple?

Apple’s discussion forums are acting up recently, and I have not yet even been allowed to login, and can’t even get into the login page. this has been the case for about a week, since i first started trying.

i’ve got this big wireless network thing going, for music, LAN, and wi-fi connectivity, speakers, receivers, inside and out or the house, airport express units all over the property, and of course thousands of dollars invested (happily) in apple products.

however, since i’m basically a rural moron, and since my own discussion group is bigger than apple’s airport discussion group, with more posts (and a better quality of people, tibbs for example), and since i pay attention to the proper functionality of my forum, and since they’re the computer and network experts, it would seem that they might do a slight bit better job of it.

what would be nice is if there was even an email address somewhere on apple’s site that one might mail to, to ask what-up? anybody have any ideas for me, i’m all for it.

perhaps they should pay me and i’ll run their forum boards.

Try that one above.

very few people “work for apple” per se. it’s subcontractor heaven in cupertino and most people are concerned with making great products, not servicing them. i don’t anticipate anything will change anytime soon but i will pass your thoughts on to my friends who actually do work there.

A few times I’ve had issues with Apple’s web support, and I’ve just called the general number for tech support and asked for assistance, and I’ve been transferred:

“Phone Support
Call 1-800-275-2273 for technical assistance. Apple offers complimentary phone support to eligible customers as outlined in the product warranty.”

You sound like you might have even one item still under warranty. If you do, then you’re set. If not, and the web site is down, they’ll ususally help if you make your case politely with them.

I also think you should complain to the web support feedback page:
http://www.apple.com/support/feedback/
Usually if you have a legitimate issue you’ll get an email from an Apple employee and they’ll work back and forth with you until you’re satisfied.

I’ve had a few issues with my wireless home network at times and I actually was able to get pretty quick answers from the forums here:

They have an All Things Macintosh forum, but most of my issues were with my DSL provider. There are some serious broadband geeks hanging out there…

I have iTunes running on a PC runnings Windows XP, and it must be the only program that doesn’t crash seemingly just to annoy me. There are iPod forums and web sites out there where nearly every problem ever likely to be encountered is in a FAQ.

Have you seen the Airport updates which came out today:

Forums.macnn.com is definitely the fastest way to get anything fixed. I check in most days and when I have a problem it’s always solved in less than 24 hours, sometimes within an hour or so.

Pick your forum section, create an account and post a question. I’m sure you’ll get plenty of help.
