Hi all,
the wife and I have been thinking about buying a tandem, the reason being that we think it would make biking together a much nicer experience. (I’m a much stronger biker, so we’re not very “compatible” on seperate bikes). Now while shopping around online, I came across this CycleMorph adapter thing which supposedly turns any standard MTB into a tandem (and back). On the one hand, I’m pretty intrigued by the idea. Buying an adapter to my existing MTB instead of a complete tandem would be cheaper, easier to store, and easier to transport. Also, Sheldon Brown seemed to be rather impressed with the design. On the other hand, I wonder if such a setup really provides the necessary stability, or if it may damage my MTB frame (or wheels) in the long run.
So here’s the question: Has anybody seen this thing from up close, or better still, does anybody own one and can share some experience with it?
TIA,
malte
