Because when I didn’t see his name in the top 10, I thought he might have taken a pass on racing. Then I was reading a race report at Gordo’s site saying he was seen “soft pedalling into T2”
I believe he had mechanical issues on the bike.
Yeah about 5 miles out he had mechanical issues. I was at the top of the Lynch Hill area on the Long Course race day and was wondering the same thing. About 20 pros already passed and then along the side riding slow with a coach of some sort comes Peter Reid biking back to the transition area. Everyone was still cheering him…dont know if it was a flat or other issue. He was top 5 coming up to Lake San Antonio Drive they said.
