Anybody been to the Wharton Health in Flagstaff?

Hi, I am in desperate search of answers and treatment for a chronic hip/lower and upper back problem. Xrays and MRI of lower back has all been fine. Massages, trigger point, chiro, accupunc, IMS no help. I have stopped all triathlon related activities including weights now because of the upper back!! I am 27 and always been healthy, so I am lost for why I am like this besides having muscle imbalances causing these problems and muscles not relaxing. I have heard some good things about the Wharton stretch and rehab programs but was hoping for some direct feedbck. I am thinking of travelling to Flagstaff from Victoria to see if I may get some answers…
If anyone has some experience with this please let me know, thanks!

Hi Soya,

I have worked with Wharton Health extensively as have many of my friends. Phil Wharton’s work is amazing. He helped me with major SI joint problems.

I also have been fortunate enough to be able to see some of the work he has been doing with elites who have seen a major difference as well.

thanks !! I am gonna exhaust all options here in Victoria BC and then Wharton’s will be my next step. I’m gonna try some of his books right now too. thanks!!

You need to give us a lot more information before we can tell you
to stop asking here and see a doctor.

I think that’s how it works.

Hi, unfortunately I have already been to my family dr and a sports specialized doctor. In the process I have received 3 x-rays that showed mild scoliosis but no problems otherwise, 1 MRI of lumbar region with SI joint and results were good (no disc problems) and once again mild scoliosis to the right. I am in line to see a physiatrist who specializes in spinal cord injuries and an osteopath physician. Just got blood work and waiting. My recent history involves no traumas or falls, but I did have a concussion from snowboarding 5 yrs ago. Maybe an injury from that incident has been hiding in me and has just recently decided it’s enough and come spilling out!
Reason i’m asking so much here is that my first specialist has basically given up on me (almost exact words), I am getting nowhere with the other treatments I’m getting here, and things are very slowly getting worse or spreading. I will see the other specialists first for there opinions and give there suggestions another go, but I am quite scared at this point as I am feeling like I may have to live like this forever and i’m only 27!! I am just seeking out any and all options.
