Here is the deal, I got a free ticket to Anchorage, I ahve been looking around and came across the fireweed 400 bike race which also includes a 200 mile option, problem is this ride starts 115 miles from Anchorage and the rental cars are wildly expensive. I am wondering if any people here either **A)**Live there **B)**are doing this event, and C) could I hitch a ride to the race start and maybe back if I pay for gas??? Or should I just go epic and ride from anchorage the do the 400, then ride back and make an epic vacation (this is unlikely) If anybody has any advice or is from the area or has participated in this event, could you please shoot me a PM, thank you so much.
