Any Slowtwitchers in Philly area?

I will be in Philadelphia/Bucks county area this weekend with the family (visiting in-laws) and will be looking for some training rides/runs. I have seen the central Buck’s county bike website, but it looks a pretty slow group of roadies/tourers (no offense meant). Even just someone to meet would be fun - nice to put a face with a name on the internet (REAL fun meeting Record10 for example)

Also, any recs for some fun w/ the kids? (ages 17 down to 4)

nah, we just lurk here!

I suggest you come over to Marlton, NJ, Saturday morning and poach the sprint race.

If you’re still around on tuesday, come out with us.

Sesame Place is in Bucks County, Dorney Park is in Allentown, several nice state parks in the area.

I’ll be passing thru Bucks County Saturday morning on my way from Basking Ridge, NJ to Gaithersburg, MD. I think I have a decent route for a ride and you are welcome to all/part of it. I will not be travelling particularly fast, but if you are looking for hours in the saddle, that I can offer.

We have some rides on the jersey side Medford/Marlton that will put a hurt in some of that attitude. Come on by. pm me if you need directions.

Thanks for the routes/leads! Might see 'ya there. I’ll be on a Litespeed Vortex.

I am seeing a definite difference in addy-tude, between one side of the river and the other.

Must be a Jersey thing.

Yup, me too  Sounds about like what I remember of the area (haven’t been there in about 3 years and I have only been there 5 times for less than a week each)

My neck of the woods is the exact same, separated by a river too ;(
.

hey you Marlton guys do you ever swim in the local lakes and then do rides after the swim, i am always doing that but never have anyone to join me… i would love to hook up with you guys (now that the season is over)

You can check out the Suburban Cyclists web page. Their A rides are pretty good and they have some which leave from Hatboro-Horsham High School which isn’t too far. If you want to head into the city, the Franklin Institute is pretty good for kids, especially in bad weather.

Atsion??? I can be there in 20 minutes … it’s going to be chilling up soon though.

BTW: The season is never over, pre-season just starts earlier.
