I work in an office of about 25 Pittsburgh Steelers fans and it’s getting a little hard to take! I came in this morning to find a terrible towel on the back of my office chair and a corny picture in my email of Worthlessberger crushing a football. Someone help me keep my sanity before I give a coworker a forearm shiver!
Put an endless loop video playback of that first quarter Ray Lewis hit from the Titans game as a screen saver on everyone’s computer.
Man, that was a pretty impressive hit for sure! I’d love, love, love to see him crush Big Ben like that early in the first quarter…
Or maybe be involved in another shooting/murder? Would that be cool too? Ray Lewis is a hell of a football player, but he and Jamal Lewis (when they had him) will forever tell me all I need to know about how much importance that organization places on the character of its players.
Although I do like Harbaugh and Flacco.
Dude, seriously? STFU.

Umm. Yeah. I’m a Cowboys fan, so I don’t get to make that judgment.
STFU because two of the teams superstars are/were convicted criminals? Really? That doesn’t matter? Doesn’t say anything about an organization?
Umm. Yeah. I’m a Cowboys fan, so I don’t get to make that judgment.
HAHA, Tank Johnson, Pacman, Leon Lett, Michael Irvin, who else you got
You guys aren’t as bad as the Raiders though, any bets on them picking up Pacman or Vick when he gets out of jail?
First of all, get your facts straight–he was tried for a stabbing, not a shooting. And, second of all, he was acquitted. Go troll somewhere else.
No sir, he actually pled guilty to obstruction of justice, my facts are straight. He was going to be tried for the stabbing (not shooting, you are correct), but cooperated and pled to a lesser chare.
Jamal Lewis? Any thoughts?
I was really hoping this would be a discussion about the upcoming playoff game between the Ravens and Steelers, not a discussion of Ray Lewis’ trial 8 years ago or a player who no longer even is on the team.
From what I remember of the Jamal Lewis thing, he and a friend TALKED about potentially buying some cocaine before he was even an NFL player. 5 years later he was arrested.
Umm. Yeah. I’m a Cowboys fan, so I don’t get to make that judgment.

Nate Newton had some gun charge, I think. I can’t even remember them all. Whether it’s the Raiders or not, SOMEBODY is going to pick up those guys. Too much talent not to.
And, to stay on topic, I’m actually looking forward to the AFC Championship game this year. It might be low scoring, but it’s going to be full of vicious hits. The NFC winner may very well win the Super Bowl because of attrition.
Ok, so it being 8 years ago makes it excusable? You claimed he was aquitted but when I pointed out he pleaded to obstruction you are no longer defending him? And Jamal Lewis getting found guilty of intent to distribute 5 kilos of cocaine? Playing a full season, spending an off season in jail and then coming back to play the next season. To me it just says something about the character of the organization. Rant off…back to your playoff discussion.
The Ravens for sure are pretty banged up right now. If Terrell Suggs doesn’t play we could certainly be in trouble. If we win, thankfully there’s two weeks of recovery before the big dance!

I am not much of a Kurt Warner fan, but props to him for still playing. After being released by the Giants he could have taken his MVP and his Super Bowl ring and called it a career, a very successful career. But he kept playing, won the starting job over Leinart and is now going to the NFC championship.
No, it being 8 years ago means it doesn’t have a fucking thing to do with the playoff game this coming Sunday, IMHO. And if Jamal Lewis had actually purchased the 5 kilos of cocaine I would have a different point of view.

HAHA. So trying to set up a drug deal with intent to sell but ultimately failing makes it excusable? So if he tried to set up a murder but it didn’t get carried out you would be cool with that too? And Ray Lewis, the face of the franchise being a convicted criminal but it being 8 years ago makes it excusable? Oh well…whatever. Like I said, there are enough classy organizations not to have to cheer for a classless one.

Keep your players and hypotheticals staright, because now you are talking about Pacman… ![]()
I started a thread to talk about the playoffs, not the criminal history of one current and one former player of the franchise. If you want to bash Ray Lewis, Jamal Lewis, and the Ravens start a new thread. Just out of curiosity, what classy organization do you cheer for?
One of my favorite quotes of late, Pacman talking about how he likes football and hopes to play but how it isn’t his whole life. Said something along the lines of, I like playing football, but “I love me some me.” HAHA, I love me some me, priceless!
