Any Races in San Diego Sat, Nov 14?

I’m flying in for the Eagles - Chargers game that weekend and was hoping to squeeze in a race. (I’ve done this in Green Bay and Chicago the last two years.)

I see that the Silver Strand Half Marathon & 5K are on Sunday the 15th but that’s game day.

Can anyone point me to race options in the San Diego area on Saturday the 14th?

Actually there is a race on Nov 14th in San Diego.

Triathlon Club of San Diego has their monthly triathlon on Fiesta Island on November 14th. You do have to join, but for the $60 or so, there’s a free race plus great food (think all you can eat buffet) afterwards.

Silver Strand is early (7AM). You could race and go to the game.

The Catalina Eco-Marathon is Saturday 11/14. They also have a 10K option. http://www.catalinaecomarathon.com/index.html

It would be something of a hike from San Diego because unless you spent Friday night on the island, you’d have to get up to Long Beach for one of the very early (6am or so) boats.

I haven’t done the race myself, but am planning on doing it this year. It’s supposed to be challenging, beautiful and fun.
