Any must do Trail Runs in or near Eugene Oregon

Hey Gang:

I am going up to Eugene this weekend, and I was hoping someone could point out a good trail run or 2 for me.

I have not stepped foot in Eugene since 1991, and that was as a college student / football player so running was punishment not something to enjoy. However, I do remember the bike paths along the Willamette River between campus and Autzen as being pretty cool.

But if there is someplace that is a part of the local scene I should run please let me know. Not looking for anything long, I just want to check somethings out on Thursday and Friday. Plus I will need to burn off the calories from the Tracktown Pizza, the Pegasus Pizza and a Glass of Beer at Reny’s as I remember my younger days (Yep, I do not eat much pizza or drink much beer these days so I will need to run)

Just keep driving to Hood River - lots and lots of trail - you can even check out Post Canyon, which will be hosting a new 50K next year! https://ultrasignup.com/register.aspx?did=29830

Trail runs as in arduous terrain, or off street running?

Arduous terrain - check out the ridge line trail

Off street running - pre’s trail or the river paths are both good, as is the Amazon trail in south Eugene

Skip rennies and instead checkout falling sky, bier stein, the Whitaker tasting rooms(ninkasi, hop valley, oakshire)
