Are most people doing their last long ride this weekend or did you do it last weekend? Does it matter? Most of my 100+ mile rides have not required much recovery where they’ve impacted other workouts.
Yes. I don’t go by distance, I go by time. But I imagine my long ride Saturday will shake out to >100 (6hr ride with a 50min brick run). I’m doing IM Cletus.
not an IMC or IMKY competitor, but doing a century this weekend. Yay!
Was going to do IMC but instead will be doing double IM on my own that same weekend, and I’m riding 80 on Sat. and 100 on Sunday. 2 week bike taper is all I ever do.
Not 100 but will get above 90…then 40-50 on Sun before it all starts winding down…

I’m in for IMLOU and have my last big workout on Saturday. 114mi ride + 4mi run. Last time I did one of those, I did a sprint tri the next day and PR’ed the 5k, so whether that means anything or not I’m ok with a 2 week taper (after fretting from Slowman’s article encouraging a 3 week one).
100 last weekend…50/5 brick this weekend on Sat., followed by Sprint Tri on Sunday.

Doing IMC and the plan calls for a 4:30 bike with a :40 brick. I’ll probably go about 90mi bike/5mi run.

Last really long ride (>7hrs/112mi, w/ major climbs and heat) unfortunately was 4 weekends ago already; been working down from there more by circumstance than by choice… Last weekend I ended up splitting into ~3.5 hours Sat/~3 hrs Sun, + a 60 min run brick. Will try to go a little longer this Sunday, but realistically probably only 75-80mi. That’ll have to do.
Yea I’ve been kicking around the idea of just going for another 100. I’ve already done six of them with 122 last week. Depending on the weather (possible rain) I may settle between 85-95.
Yeah, I’ll probably do ~100miles. I also shoot for time only so the plan is 5 hours with a little run off.
Doing KY and my plan calls for .5 hour swim, 4.5 hours on the bike, and 40 minute run, so that 4.5 hours should give me right about 100.
Heck no, big rides are done for me. This week it’s last of the big runs… next week the last of the big swims… then showtime!

Last long ride (200k) was 2 weekends ago, rest week last week and I’ll ride a hilly 4 hours and then run a hilly 45 mins this Saturday. Last long run was last Tuesday, running 1.5 hrs tomorrow and then no rides longer than 2.5hrs and no runs longer than an hour or so until race day.
100 miler on Saturday for me. Long run on Sunday. I never bought into a 3 week taper working for me.
I’ll run 10-12 this Saturday and then ride 4 hours on Sunday – probably about 70 miles.
I am doing IMC and am on a three week “taper”. The first week of the taper is still pretty heavy, but it’s less intense than the previous weeks.
Weeks two and three will look much more like a traditional taper period.
Caveats: I’m a shitty cyclist and good runner.

I usually error on the side of caution, but I’m doing a 100+ on Saturday. My IM pr is when I did a 70.3 two weeks before IM, go figure.
I’ve started my taper, but one more good effort this weekend, then big time taper!
Be safe, train smart, goal now should be to make it to the start line. See you in 2 weeks!
I’m in for IMKY and will ride 100-112 on Saturday with a 5 mile run afterwards then Sunday will be 25-30 mile ride with a 16 mile run afterwards then its taper time!
