You know that infamous Olympic medalist … Not sure just do a wiki search. Anyhow he graced his presence at a local sprint race. Having just the other week seen a TV snippet of his come back from what seems normal for some Aussie male Olympic gold medalist syndrome of falling into a heap or crash from society. At the time I thought well done and when told he even qualified for 70.3 in Austria well I even thought wow he must be great again. Haha how fun it is to do some fact checking. You see mr brooks was 7th @ 4:50+ At Mandurah 70.3 the other week. So he did well with the roll down but despite his genetics for a swimmer beating me by some 120s in the swim I did have the chance of telling a few that I beat an Olympian ! Albeit it took me till 2 k in the run to make the passing dig at him I’m passing an Olympic gold medalist
Though I do mind that he got go, then again I keep telling myself my race when come just wait…
Would say 4:50 isn’t too bad for a 52 year-old ex-swimmer.
