The local NBC affiliate has chosen paid programming over the Emmy award winning potential of Kona Ironman WTC Championships.
This is the 4th biggest affiliate in the nation.
Yep, happens all over.
In 2003 our local affiliate chose to broadcast an infomercial over the Ironman. This after they had done a news story/interview with me during the evening news the night before, and told everyone to tune in to follow my progress…they even gave out my race number!! Ha!
