Another Lucero question-help me Herbert!

I just got off the phone with my LBS. They were checking into availability of small 700c Luceros and told me sometime in May. I’d like to stay with them and buy locally, but that is getting kind of late for me. Heck, I haven’t even been able to ride a Lucero. I did ride a Kuota Kalibur and a P3 SL last weekend, and really liked the smoothness of the ride of the Kuota.

I know that people say that there’s no difference in frame materials, and the caveat is that the wheels were different (stock on both). However, I had planned to buy a P3 SL this year until I saw the Lucero. After riding the Kuota and the P3 SL, I liked the Kuota better. So why did I like it better? At my age (>40), and my preference for long-course races, the difference in feel (more road vibration in the P3) is a factor. Compared to the Kuota, I like the internal cable routing of the Lucero as well as the $300 less for the frame. So now, I want to compare the rides and fit of the Lucero and the Kuota.

Right now I am tri-bike less, and if the May ETA is real, I’d need to modify a road bike. Any suggestions… anyone?

Richard

Do’nt settle for a bike just because you cannot get what you really want until May. If you really want the QR you need to wait for it, or maybe find another shop.

Where do you live?

We have small 700c’s in stock. they are readily available.

I know Mission Bay has them, Nytro and Tri-Sports also.

I’ve got them too…

I also just got in a few P3 Carbons…

Just kidding!!!

About the P3 C’s.

I will have to check in the morning and will let you know. It is not really what I do in the company, but I’ll be able to find it out. I do know though as Tom has stated that lots of dealers have received shipments of these bikes. Sorry if your shop has not yet received one.
You can just call us at work tomorrow 423-238-5530

King that wasn’t even funny…wait a minute yes it was, dude you made my heart skip!

I’m in Washington state.

Thanks to everyone who responded. While I can guestimate that the Lucero would fit me, I’d like to see “how” it fits me. I’d still like to stay local with my purchase, but will keep Bikesport Michigan at the top of my list if I decide to order it outside of the area. When I lived in Illinois, Mission Bay did a great job with me on a bike, but since I no longer live in IL, they’re not as accessible as they were back then.

Bike shopping! What a great way to spend money.

Thanks again.

Richard

I’ve got them too…

Just a thought - it might be nice to know what shop you own… put that info in your sig or profile or something.

Of course unless you’re selling them for 10 bucks or so I’m not personally in the market
