So the wheels aren’t mine (waiting for my fall bonus to buy–these are rentals) but I think I’ve finally decided on the 808/900 combo as a good, versatile race day wheelset. Also recently added the 310XT/Quarq Cinqo combo.
And when the bike is decked out with Zipps, it’s always a good excuse to shoot some porn.
Now if I could get my swim and run splits up to my bike split, I’d be a halfway decent triathlete.
Very nice bike! Given the $1200 aero bars you have on that baby (and the lack of gawdy spacers), I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess you made the very intelligent decision to actually buy the bike that fit you (P2) rather than the one with bigger bling factor (P3), yes?

Yup, the P2 was the better fit for me.
The Vukas weren’t a planned thing, actually, but then I stumbled across a brand new pair for $719 shipped from wiggle.co.uk and I couldn’t pass them up. Great bars too, BTW.
it’s a loaner from the good dudes in morgan hill, for a tt coming up in a couple weeks.
the bike is crazy sick. i picked up tuesday night and got less than 30 minutes on it prior to racing a 10-mile tt at 29.25mph, on 5-10 watts less than target (over-cooked the way out). it rails corners like a road bike and gives very straightforward feedback.
it also has the sram return-to-center shifters, which are pretty slick.

x2. I like cervelo’s but too many are ruined by ridiculous piles of spacers.
How do you like the saddle? I haven’t heard any feedback yet.
Cheers,
The V-Flow plus is the most comfortable saddle I’ve found.
My P2C came with an SLR T1, which was a totall asshatchet to me. Too firm, and the nose was just very uncomfortable. I tried a Profile TriStryke for a while and was fairly happy with it, but the excessively soft padding made it uncomfortable after a while. I emailed Cobb Cycling, had a brief back-and-forth with Ginger Cobb, and she said that both she and John recommended the V-Flow Plus. The boys have been happy ever since.
For me, it’s the best combination of softness/firmness and shape for riding aero. I use a Specialized Toupe 143 on my road bike and that’s fine, but for whatever reason fitting a Tri saddle was tougher for me. The V-Flow plus is definitely worth trying if you’re not loving your current saddle.
