I hadn’t planned on posting this here on ST, but was inspired by twack26’s report which I thoroughly enjoyed, so thought I throw this out there. When I was entertaining the idea of entering Vineman 70.3 as my first HIM I gleaned a lot of useful info from similar postings, so this is sorta me passing that along.
Like twack26 I had a number of family & friends that were interested in the report, so it’s pretty long with some basic info, but if you’re interested I’ve posted it here -

BTW, for those of you familiar with Vineman, a couple of other points…
-
I absolutely LOVED everything about the race, including the organization, communication, people, volunteers, etc…would highly recommend it!
-
This was a VERY good year to be 40! Men 40-41 was the 2nd start wave at 6:38 am, and the day turned out to be in the 90’s, so that was HUGE
-
Was also very fortunate to start early because I figure that I beat the “falling oak” by about 20-30 minutes…very sorry about those that weren’t as lucky.
Thanks,
Jon
