What is the acceptable procedure when you spot a scam? Obviously report it to eBay, but then should you bid up the auction so no one else gets caught it in?
What happens if you ‘win’? Do you just string along the seller (“Show me a photo with you, the bike and today’s newspaper?”) until they get sick of you?
You should report it - I think this seller already has a bike that has been pulled (he was selling a 2004 Cannondale last night and I can’t find it now). But the best thing you can do is create a couple of new ebay accounts and bid the price up to a few hundred thousand dollars. Always worth a laugh.
