13:12 - Willems & Casar Crash

Two of the riders in the escape group have been involved in a crash. Willems (LIQ) hit a dog that crossed the road and he brought down Casar (FDJ).

Dogs in france are uniting in the war against drugs and staging thier own protest by upending the riders. Good on them! If the authorities wont taken action, then the dogs will. Puppy Power!

They just showed it and they were hauling and Casar went down hard. Hope he doesn’t find anything further damage later or tonight and rides into Paris.

Darn riders, do they not know the dogs have the right of way. Hope the poor doggie is okay.

They showed the replay. Ignorant dog owners could have really messed up the riders and their dog.

Phil said the dog is apparently ok. They saw it running away…no kidding. If I was run over by a couple of bikes I’d likely be scared enough to hide my pain and make a run for it.

I’m sure both the riders and the pooch will have a few wounds.

Maybe the owner should volunteer to take some road rash and run into a moving bike (or car) to even things up!

Surprised the protesters that are going after Vic have not shown up at the TDF to complain how
all these bike riders are running over dogs and causing pain, and possible death.

I saw on the vid that the apparent owner was running towards the dog as it was running after being hit. As crazy as the spectators are at the tour why would they not tar and feather that broad for being so stupid letting the dog loose?

I love dogs but that one must have been a Smengie and a dumb ass one at that. Didn’t he know you’re suppose to jump out in front of the riders when he’s going UPHILL and only going 7-8 mph? Not on a flat stage…

I have no idea how these guys get up from something like that and go on to win a stage much less finish a ride.

It’s been awhile since a rogue French Lab took out a rider from France. Alright…progress.
