Anodizing/paint removal?

I have some Tru Vativ Rouleur cranks, aluminium. I’m love to remove the black anodized/paint finish and run brushed aluminium instead. Anyone any advice/experience doing just this? How it work out, and how did ya do it?

Cheers

The cheap blue and red anodize can come off with acid / tile cleaner . Some of the hard anodize is very tough , Black is used to hide some blemishes in the alloy . You could glass bead blasted to a satin finish for a low price , it would leave it susceptible to dirt / corrosion . You would have to paint ( clear polyurethane )- re-anodize .

Bottom line to do a proper job , will cost you more in time & $ than the crank set is worth . IMHO

Spray on, Sit for 15 mins, then spray with garden hose on high power. If tough, you might have to rub a little.

Buff out with Blue Magic.
