Hi Folks,
Recently diagnosed with ankle tendonitis. Only recommendation from doctor other than to stop running was to do physiotherapy. Has anyone had any experiences with this situation? Any tips or advice?
Thanks

I was just diagnosed with medial/posterior ankle tendonitis. The sports medicine doc prescribed me some orthotics which seem to be helping. I have one last race in 2 weeks and i’ll then take a month off for running. He said that that should be sufficient. Once that’s done, I will begin strengthening exercises.
Can you stand on one leg (the injured ankle side) and stand up on your toes without pain?
Yes, I can stand on one leg on my toes without pain.
Sounds like some time off from running and physio is the right approach. Any comments from your doc on biking?
I currently use orthotics, but they are a couple of years old. Maybe time for a new pair?
