.......and she's back....LCB has made an appearance

OK - a couple of details.
“not even a torn calf”
Reece Barclay said (live) with 6 miles to go in IMWC 2023 that she’d said her achilles (not calf) was giving her pain from mile 2. She pushed on: good on her with a lead over Knibb whom she might reckon (latter a newbie) to out run and enough buffer ahead of Haug. LCB ran better than she ever had before with a 2:57 (always been over 3:02). Best ever female performance in Kona (and wire-to-wire).
“[IM] Nice . . . She was on fire and ran sub 2:50. . . . and showed up three weeks later for PTO London event”
There were 6 weeks between IM Nice and T100 London (not 3): more than enough time to recover/prepare. And below the ExCeL Centre LCB swam hard (with Coldwell keeping her honest) but was owned by Simmonds on the bike. Then the achilles niggle again. Sensibly DNF’d given IMWC Nice only 8 weeks away.
“if you can win . . . [IM] Nice 9 months ago”
Win with no competition; ride effectively about 30 mins slower than Philipp rode in IMWC; and then a 2:49 marathon.

What on earth are you on about? If you are going to be a know it all at least be sure you are correct, she has shared scans of her torn calf…Heres a little hint for you-the title of her post race video is ‘marathon with a calf tear’…

Am/was going on what Reece said live, ‘that it had been bugging her since mile 3’. No mention of a calf strain 10 days out and you’d think he’d know. If he’s going to share that she’s being hampered anyway, . . .
Clearly (after an MRI) that’s not what was the issue.
She ran well to achieve a best ever time.
I empathise, having raced the final 22 miles of a 31 miler bitd after a ‘bing’ calf pull at mile 9 (had to finish: was part of a team).

“Getting on to the marathon I actually was unfortunately in a lot of pain from the very beginning. I had a calf strain one week out from the race”

Anyway, as Jack said ^ ^ ^
I’ll be interested to discover which Ironman she’s going to validate at and whether she’ll choose a competitive one.
The clear gap in the T100 schedule is between Singapore (6 April) and Alcatraz (31 May). Texas is full: maybe she’s entered?. The other IM in that period is Lanzarote (which is 'ard but she trains a lot there and has won it before).
Or skive off T100 San Francisco and race Brazil (coincident with the IM Pro Series race in Hamburg).

Just this so far

" This year, I’m looking forward to giving my best and seeing how far I can go in the 2025 T100 series. I’m excited to embrace the journey and take it one step at a time.”

No running in this one either!

This was filmed a while ago, I remember Mark posting about it on IG.

Another video dropped.

5hr low Z2 ride, with a 90min. swim earlier in the day. Definitely not coached by Lionel.

Again, no running. Hopefully she’s fit for Singapore in a few weeks.

She was swapping around helmets, so wonder if she was doing some low-tech testing for speed or comfort. She was on a 1mi. closed loop, so could conceivably hold power and look at lap times (aka GCN-quality testing).
